Starting with a lawn mower in grammar school at the age of nine, Tom Canete has created a landscape organization with four divisions: Canete Landscape, Canete Maintenance, Canete Snow Management and Canete Garden Center. Our Landscape design-build team works closely with clients to develop landscape designs based on existing architecture, land, client requirements and budget. Working together as a team, from concept to installation, provides assurance that your project will run smoothly because communication is intact. Many of our design clients are also maintenance clients - some since the beginning. We offer commercial & residential maintenance packages tailored to your needs and budget. Canete landscape maintenance crews manage several of New Jersey 's largest commercial properties.

Tom is a life-long entrepreneur who started this company over 30 years ago with nothing more than a pushmower and a weed-whacker. Having come a long way, Tom now proudly and actively leads one of the largest and most progressive Landscape Design/Build/Maintain firms in northern New Jersey.

Joseph Porta
Director of Maintenance & Snow Removal
Services: Joe is a 20 year veteran in the Green Industry who has been with our firm for 8 years. Joe maintains a singular focus on client satisfaction and keeping our properties looking the best they can.

Christian Proodian
Landscape & Snow Removal Supervisor
Chris has been with Canete for 13 years, and has become the anchor for our Design &
Construction Division. Christian is our in-field ringleader who always managing to create one stellar landscape after another.

Jay Gruen

Jay is a 15-year veteran of the Green Industry with experience in all disciplines
of the landscape realm. A nationally published author, Jay treats what he does as an art or a craft, not just a trade.

A long-time fixture in the local "Green Scene", John is a man who can
procure whatever our clients may desire. His knowledge of horticulture and the often times complicated logistics of the Green Industry are second to none.
